If you enjoy crochet, this is your lucky day! Skacel and Addi are extremely proud to announce their newest line of crochet hooks, the Addi Swing. Developed with comfort in mind, the handle is constructed of two plastics: one colorful and soft, and the other, white and firm. I am an inexperienced crocheter, but love this crochet hook. It is so comfortable to use. I must admit that I'm a fan of all addi needles, they are the only ones I knit with. This is my first Addi crochet hook and I have not been disappointed.
While I do not do crochet, I do use hooks for my knitting for catching dropped stitches and doing borders. This is an improvement on the standard hook and will be perfect for socks and fingerling/lace weight yarns I use for lightweight scarves and sweaters!
I'm an arthritic tool junkie and have tried nearly all available hooks. The concept of this hook is wonderful! The handle is smooth (sooo much better than their turbos!) and the thumb rest is very comfortable. It has a smooth slightly pointed tip and a shortish throat for speedy hooking, tho the hook is a bit shallow. Sadly, it is too big for my hand (3" across) and, therefore, not comfortable to use.
I just received my Addi Swing Hook about two weeks ago and it's one of the most comfortable hooks I have every crocheted with. It's light weight and fits nicely into your hand. It does not cause hand cramps, even after hours of crocheting. So, this is the perfect hook for those of you who have arthritis.
