a great felt
I knitted a gauge sample of Dynasty, which is black with brights. I used a size 6 needle and found it too loose. I felted the sample by hand, It was hopelessly furry and blurry. I pulled the fuzz up and trimmed it off.I dried it in a slow oven, about 250 degrees and it cut about 1/16 off the surface, hoping to get to clearer waters. Moderate success. But it wasn't dry yet. I just took it out of the oven again, and it is much improved. The colors are brighter and more prominent. It still looks black from a distance. The It is very pretty now, and if you dared try to size it, it would make a terrific Chanel-style jacket. It's not the best yarn I've ever played with, but it's been fun, and I solved the shedding problem mentioned in another review, although it was solved the hard way. Anything that soft and barely spun is going to shed. Just plan on it.
