Versatile

Cleverly designed caddy. It really does stand up and easily accommodates all the notions you might need for a project on the go. Cute fabrics, too. Liked it so much I gifted one to a friend.

Terrific design

Best design I've come across for this kind of item! Very sturdy, and I love that the scissors are secured inside by the snap. The key ring is a nice feature to attach the holder to your knitting bag. I will be getting more for my best crafting friends for gifts!

Nice idea, but..

Received this as a gift. I liked the look and the concept, but the performance was poor. First, trying to screw the end of the leather cord into the end of the needle needle was very difficult and took many tries. As it's not threaded, you have to keep working it until the cord finally gets caught by the threads on the inside of the needle. If you have any kind of difficulties with your hands or wrists, be forewarned. Second, the cords are not uniformly smooth and catch on the yarn when you try to pull them through the stitches. Absolutely not worth the trouble, and they are pricey.

Almost perfect

I LOVE Chicken Boots bags, and own many in various shapes and sizes. This is a great bag for a medium size project larger shawl, etc. or for holding multiple skeins of yarn. CB uses quality materials and construction to make a sturdy product. The large INSIDE pocket thoughtful! is terrific for holding pattern, notions, ball band, even your phone, with the fear of stuff falling out. The only thing I wish this bag had is some kind of yarn “guide,” one that could be opened or closed, to keep the working yarn away from the zipper when pulling from a ball inside the bag. Otherwise, perfect!

Poor performance

I have used a conventional winder for many years and have been very satisfied with it. I decided to give this one a try based on the mostly positive reviews. I was very surprised by how poorly it worked. Not sure if I got a lemon or if this is how it usually performs, but the mechanism of the feeder arm going back and forth was terrible. It was jerky, slow, and uneven. The ball that was forming started falling off of the end closest to the arm, and made a tangled mess before I had even wound a quarter of the skein I was winding from the skein which was securely on my trusty wooden swift. unfortunately I had no choice but to return this item.

Fast and sharp

I hae been a fan of the Karbonz circulars since they first were introduced. While I don't often use straights, for the occasions when I do I decided I deserved to upgrade my old plastic and aluminum collection. As with the circs, the Karbonz straights are lightweight, fast, and suitable sharp for stitch manipulation. Highly recommend!
