always good

Tosh DK yarn is my go to for this weight yarn especially when I want something hard wearing and washable. This color, Nocturne, is particularly nice, such a deep navy it's almost black.

Saved my project!

I was ready to toss a lace shawl I was knitting on my regular Addi Turbo circulars. The stitches kept slipping off my needles and I was having a terrible time trying to do the m1l, m1r, ssk and other stitches. I had knitted the pattern before without a problem but that was a softer, different yarn. This was so frustrating as I was dropping stitches again and again. Just as I was ready to call it a loss, I thought about the Addi Lace Needles and decided to give them a try. Perfect solution! I couldn't believe what a difference they made. I had avoided them because I push stitches with the tip of my finger and I thought the points would be too sharp for that. Not at all. I'm really sold on these for lace knitting with difficult yarn......and thanks for the speedy shipping JBW!

Delicious Duo

I used this yarn with Shibui Haven and it made a beautiful fabric. I was hesitant to use the yarns held double but there was absolutely no problem with tangling, they held together as one. I was also afraid the Silk Cloud might be a little fragile but it was just the opposite. It had a real tensile strength which surprised me. It provided just a little halo to the Haven which caught the light and also added softness. Very happy with the result.

favorite yarn

Once again, I will say that Tosh Light is my absolute all-time favorite yarn. Oh, I buy other yarns, I knit other yarns, but this is simply the best......the best colors, subtlety, hand, wearability......and Jimmy Beans Wool is the best place to buy Tosh Light......all works together!

Not so great....

I was disappointed with this yarn. The color was not what I had expected to see.....it seemed grayed out, sort of like a white shirt which has been washed too many times. As this is a hand dyed yarn, although the color I selected was a pastel, I expected it to be clear and clean, pink or peach with cream.....it was not. The description said it could adapt to many different needle sizes but when I knitted it on a needle two sizes smaller than the recommendation, the resulting fabric was stiff and unpleasant I ripped out the project and don't know what I will do with the yarn now. This is an expensive yarn. It ought to be great it was not. This was an unusual disappointment from Blue Sky Alpacas as I have always liked the yarns from their company before this one. I will certainly continue to use their other yarns, but could not recommend this one.
