Sandi’s Snow Dog Shawl
Fell in love with this pattern and the concept, I buy great yarn and a pattern and JBW gives a contribution to the charity in a “year of giving”. This was the January pattern Snow Dog for the ASPCA, the pattern is by Amanda Jarvis of Lorna’s Laces, the kit had 2 skeins of Shepherd Sport weight yarn, in Snow Dog a very lovely beachy colored yarn, light teals and soft taupe mix on a lovely cream base with flecks of black and grey. I had to purchase a third skein from JBS as well.
I had to drop to a size 4 needle in place of the 6 as instructed. This was a quick and easy knit but I had booties and hats for the Greens twins along with the knit along for the madelentosh blanket knit along.

LOVE my grab bag
The price was just too good to pass up, I have always wanted to try Fyberspates, but couldnt just pick a skein and had only seen others that were knitting with it, and listening to their joy, I rolled the dice and won! Great choices, bright vibrant colors, and the yarn...wow oh wow the choices that came in my bag blew me away...silk and yak mix, merino, silk, bamboo?...love it all.

Big fun in a little package.
My daughters are always looking foe some thing to do with my leftover and stash yarn. This little update on the old Weavette or Weave-it loom is great! Although they advertised a handy carrying case, it is just the box it is packaged in with a handle. There is a bit of a learning curve but it goes quickly and you can have squares in twenty minutes and a simple lace wrap started and in a weekend you have something that will appear to have had many hours of work when it wasnt that hard at all!!!

Awesome ideal, until the yarn catches in zipper
I would give this 4/5 stars, but if the yarn catches in the zipper, you're going to spend the next few hours pulling it out, or zipping and unzipping to get it pulled from the teeth. Other than that one small issue this is a brillant idea! Perfect for knitting in public! Or knitting at home and keeping the dogs and cats from playing with my yarn while I work.

Tosh Merino Light, Black Currant Colorway
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...I am knitting a large queen size patch blanket for my daughter, she is a junior in HS, and wants to take it to college with her in two years, the pattern calls for me to make the yarn chunky by doubling, tripling and making cocktails with orginal yarn and mohair, Alpaca, etc. This yarn is beautiful! Doesnt split! didnt run into any joins!
