Soft and lovely for delicate projects
This is a wonderfully soft yarn and a bargain for the yardage! I love the subtle colours, too. I find this to be much closer to a lace weight/light fingering yarn, and probably would not recommend it for socks or anything that is going to put a lot of stress on it. I think it would be really luxurious carried with another yarn added softness and a slight halo make this one of my new go-to yarns.

Fun, fabulous carry-along yarn!
I ordered this on a whim, thinking it would be a fun yarn to have in my stash. I had an almost full skein of Cascade Ultra Pima languishing in my stash. It matches the little peacock blue sequins exactly! Anyway... I was able to create a gorgeous, fun scarf in a few hours using the Cotton Gold as a carry-along and boy does it pack a punch! It's beautiful and shiny without being obnoxious, and the quality is awesome! I didn't once have it break or have a sequin thread catch on a needle. The main cotton thread seems to be really strong, and the lurex or whatever it is doesn't separate like so many yarns containing a metallic strand do. I can recommend this yarn without qualms for adding a bit of sparkle to any project.

Gorgeous, soft yarn!
I am not always fond of working with silk yarn, as it can feel a little "squeaky". This yarn, however, is a dream to work with! It's so incredibly soft and knits into a gorgeous, drapey fabric. I think it's being discontinued, which is too bad, as it's great!
