I loved the colors but was surprised by this yarn. It was very coarse and “sticky”. I say sticky because the yarn strands wanted to stick together. It will be a very warm beanie but not soft. I hope it will soften a bit when hand washed.

I love this yarn. Not too thin but lace weight. I started a Shetland shawl and was having trouble with the fine lace yarn. So I bought Shibui Lunar to make each motif as a practice and then I’ll do the thinner yarn. Shibui is so much easier to tink.

I am making my second wedding shawl from this yarn. Love it and the way it works up. I’m not sure of the yarn weight but it’s closer to lace than fingering, near as I can tell!

I haven’t worked with this yarn yet but I am surprised at how coarse the texture is. I expected something with 10% Angora and 5% silk to be softer. It was purchased for a pillow so it will be quite satisfactory but I wouldn’t use it for a sweater.
