I like this yarn.
Yes, it does cost more than the 100% cotton yarn we've all used to make dishcloths however, if you are looking to make something a bit more elegant, this yarn is great. I've used the variegated blue/green to make placemats with a simple linen stitch. The way the colors distributed was perfect, and the final fabric is substantial and lays flat. The subtle sheen makes the mats look less rustic. I will absolutely use this yarn again for placemats and table runners. I'll continue to use the less expensive, work-horse cotton yarn for dishcloths because at $1.25/skein -on sale- it simply can't be beat.
