Simy's Studio have taken inspiration from the rich history of the iconic Aran sweater in creating the Moss & Cable Jumper. Heavily textured double moss stitch traditionally represents the carageen moss that grows abundantly across the stone walls and spectacular cliffs of the west coast of Ireland. For self-sufficient fishermen, the rows of cables adorning the sleeves would have symbolised ropes, protection and good fortune, with the expectation of a bountiful catch.
