One big, luscious, lofty cable, in a reversible rib so it's just as gorgeous on both sides. Wrap the shorter version various ways with a pin or a big button. We sewed two tweedy buttons together back-to-back for a jumbo 'cuff link' and buttoned them through the holes created by the cable twist. Neck wrap: Approx. 7 x 30" / 18 x 76cm. Scarf: Approx. 7 x 80" / 18 x 203 cm. You can also view all Churchmouse Classics Patterns.
Neck Wrap: Approx. 300 yds / 274m of a worsted-weight yarn held double throughout. Scarf: Approx. 900 yds / 823m of a worsted-weight yarn held double throughout.
I loved making this shawl, and I enjoyed the process of choosing colors and row counts. I did use Jul Designs fasteners rather than stitching the shoulder seam. I also made my project a little larger by about 10 inches. The big surprise was my 30 year old niece modeling it at Easter when we all got together and then styling it on my 85 year old mother. It also looks great on my taller sister, but I think it looks best on ME!
