ChiaoGoo TWIST red for the win
I have the complete 5 inch set. I absolutely love these. The tips are a bit sharper than Addi but I don't think that's a drawback. If you are sensitive the the feel of drag on needles, these may not be the needles for you. They don't slide over each other without a slight bit of drag. I didn't notice it until someone said this to me as to why they don't like ChiaoGoo. I've knit hats, sweaters, shawls, mitts, and cowls so far with mine. I have had them separate if I don't use the T-pin to tighten them, but that was beginner user error. While these were an investment, I feel they were worth it. The red cables are stellar and very strong. I also have fixed circulars by ChiaoGoo and love those as well.

For Worsted and thicker yarns
I bought these for a sweater that called for holding two sock yarns together to achieve the desired gage. OMGoodness - these were terrible for that use. The yarn caught in the swivel, snagged and had me doubting my sanity.
I bought a bunch of these and didn't want to give up immediately, so I tried them with a chunky yarn. Much better!! I made a cowl and it was a breeze, the thicker yarn didn't catch and snag like the thinner yarn did. I love my Chiagoo red cables for just about everything and had high hopes for these. If I am making a chunky hat I am fine, but anything thinner than worsted will be a problem with the swivel cathing.

Great - until my cable cracked/split
I started a fingerless mitt in magic loop on mine. I am 75% done with my first mitt and noticed the plastic cable has a crack in it. Checked the other end and there is a hairline crack there as well.
While I love the tips and how the swirl allows the yarn to slide, the hollow cable and cracks make them impossible to use. I had to switch needles mid project in order to avoid snagging the wool.
