This yarn is nice to work with. I was surprised when I realized it is a Red Heart Yarn. Red Heart's Boutique line really steps up their game. I knit a banana shawl/scarf pattern called Wombat with the yarn. I love the end product so much that I wear it practically everyday.
Usually when I think about Red Heart, I think of the age-old Super Saver yarn. Being a fiber artist who sells wearable art, I couldn't find much use for this squeaky acrylic yarn. When I found this Boutique Midnight Yarn, I was surprised to find that it was manufactured by Red Heart. This yarn has character, sparkle, nice drape, and a good hand when knitted. I used this yarn to complete a banana shaped shawl that I have been wearing ever since I finished it a couple weeks ago. I will use this yarn again and am looking forward to exploring other Red Heart possibilities.
Had to return this yarn, could not use for its intended project. Softer texture than traditional Red Heart yarn, but less yardage. I think it would be interesting to use the Boutique Midnight and Treasure yarn in the same colorway in a project. The Treasure yarn has a glitz strand added to the mix. Names are different, have to go by sight when choosing the colors.
