It doesn't really matter that much. I expected this yarn Charcoal would be dark gray, like in the photo on my monitor. And I know monitors vary, but this yarn I ended up with is almost black. But it is very pretty, nonetheless. And it is thick and thin, and there is a subtle sheen. I haven't knit with it yet, so I should probably wait to give it five stars, but the color is so rich, I gave it five stars on good looks alone.

I never saw this yarn before in person. It is so lovely and soft. The gradient colors are rich. I haven't knitted with it yet, but I am looking forward to it!

I got the Magnolia Leaf color. It is beautiful, but it is not the usual Magnolia Leaf color. It is still lovely and so soft.

So far, I haven't found a lace yarn that I like better than Malabrigo. Granted, I'm not a real experienced knitter, but I know what I like, and I love Malabrigo Lace!

Now I see what all of the hubbub is about. The colors are exquisite and the yarn is soft and easy to work with.

This is my first experience with Madelinetosh Light. The yarn, true to its name, feels quite weightless. The colors are rich and saturated. I look forward to trying more Madelinetosh.
