So much fun - and useful!
Love getting a new colorway every month, and in Tosh Vintage, too my fave superwash worsted! Haven't decided yet whether to knit the pattern or try using the yarn for something else, but I'm loving the subscription. Highly recommend!

Just what I was looking for
I love this gauge and use it constantly. In the past, I'd always had trouble with losing count of stitches in my gauge swatch - this little gadget is a lifesaver. As others have noted, it's 20cm square vs 4 - I've found most patterns indicate gauge in both units and it's easy to remember to use centimeters once you get used to it. I actually prefer the heavy plastic to the metal used in some other gauge counters.

Inexpensive way to try new yarns and accessories
This is a great way to try out new yarns without investing in full skeins - it's also helpful to see which yarns might be paired or comparable, based on what they include in the bag. While the patterns are fun, the yarns are interesting to try out, but my favorite part of these is the fun accessories they include with each month's bag - stitch holders, new interchangeable needles, notion holders - all kinds of random things I'd never know about without these bags. Worth every penny!

Knits up beautifully, pills a bit after wear/use
I agree with other reviewers, this yarn is extremely soft and squishy - great for baby items blankets, sweaters, hats, booties, especially since it's truly superwash. My only complaint is that it does begin to pill after a lot of wear/use hence 4 stars. Overall, I'd recommend for hats and scarves more than sweaters, due to the pilling.

Soft and cozy...perfect for baby items
This was my first time trying Soud and Chloe and I'm loving this yarn so much! Making baby blankets for twin cousins preemies, so my biggest concerns were that the finished product be soft, cozy, pretty and easy for Mom to wash. They also live in the southern part of the US, so I didn't want pure wool as I didn't think they'd get as much use. It knits up like a dream...I love cotton, but it has almost no give - yet this blend is perfection. Enough give to have even stitches, but the cotton helps keep its shape. I think I've found a new favorite for baby gifts!!

Like Christmas once a month
Not only does the monthly subscription include a pattern specific to the yarns chosen for that bag, you get to try new yarns without splurging for a full skein, fun notions, Soak, plus the bag itself is a great project bag to carry small projects around in. If you don't particularly love the pattern that month, you can make something else - there are lots of suggestions on the Ravelry page. I've been getting the warm palette but decided to switch it up a bit and try the mystery for awhile - contacted customer service and they made the switch for me with no fuss. Love JBW!! And I'm so glad I signed up for these Big Beanie Bags - it's like Christmas comes in the mail every month when the package arrives!

Mad Tosh convert here
This was my first time knitting with Madelinetosh. Now I know what all the fuss was about...it's a dream to work with. Made a scarf for a MKAL on Ravelry, and the stitch definition was amazing. Plus, no pooling of the variegated skein. Washes beautifully - I wore it nearly every day last winter, and it still looks brand new. Great yarn.
