I originally got this yarn on Wool Watcher and have come back for more at full price. The yarn is beautifully soft and has a very subtle, gorgeous sheen. It blocks nicely with lovely stitch definition. This yarn sold me on Juniper Moon Farms, and I have since become one of their sock club members! Wonderful stuff.
I have ordered Heritage Silk and Silk Paints in several colorways for making shawlettes and infinity scarves, and I have to say I am so pleased. The fiber has a beautiful, soft, feel, and the yarn has a very, very subtle sheen from the silk content. The colorways are really nice and especially in the paints line, are impressively nuanced and rich. This is a really lovely yarn for an economic price and its becoming a standby for me when I'm knitting gifts that I'm hoping will become treasured items, but that won't break my bank. I have also found that this line blocks really nicely---despite its silk content, it seems to still be pretty elastic and responds well to aggressive blocking.
I absolutely love this yarn. I just received my third order, this time in colorway Masala my previous two colorways were Peridot and Bronze. The sheen is so beautiful, the colors are saturated, and the yarn is so silky. I haven't yet completed a project with this, so I can't speak to blocking which I imagine will be somewhat challenging due to the silk content, but the half-finished stole and shawl that I am currently working on are so incredibly soft. Even a light brush by the garment against the skin feels so silky soft, and the drape is of course beautiful. I know that I will really treasure the finished items that I make with this, and that I can consider them heirloom quality. I've also decided that this will be my yarn of choice if I have the opportunity to make a beautiful wedding shawl for any future brides in my circle.
