Tweed is so cool
This season around here, tweedy tweeds
are inseeing tweed sweaters everywhere. Blackstone tweed may be going away, gets harder to find and so I keep buying it because it's fun & feels good to knit with, and looks great on when the knitting is done. It's a lot like Brooklyn Tweed's
Shelter, but less easy to tear, tho' not made in USA, & maybe not as soft which isn't necessarily bad. Works to the same gauge, and a few less yards
per ball but better price. Very satisfying yarn.

beautiful blues Denim
Had quite a time with this yarn while knitting it because the powdery indigo dye got on hands, clothes, needles, and you breathed it too. Not permanent except a bit on bamboo needles. But it was a beautiful color, difficult to find, really indigo.
It worked up well in the pattern which was specifically for this yarn, and
following instructions for pre-shrinking
worked well. The resulting cabley pullover surpassed expectations, with beautiful stitch definition.

follow up
Following up on a sweater from Cascade Lima, I liked the texture and working with it, but the sale yarn had lots of knots & as a twined single ply, not so good for splicing, so joins were tied
at end of rows, and I needed more yarn.
But the sweater was so successful, so
comfortable to wear, warm yet light
that I really want to recommend this yarn. Such a pleasure.

CASCADE LUNA
Got the pale yellow on sale, & except that there were so-o many knot joins,
this was fun to knit with & I'm happy with the cabley cardigan. Suggest you
get an extra ball or 2 so you don't need to worry about having enough because of those joins, since it's a one ply cotton, you can't ply it so there's more waste.
