Another amazing ruffle yarn has come along! The yarn's double wide piecing not only gives you larger ruffles, but fold it in half and you can create a different yet equally unprecedented look to your project!
Part of me is really sorry this is a discontinued yarn but at the same time I think I understand part of the reason that it didn't have longevity .
Very challenging to start but then once you get a rhythm it flies.
Here's the trick for those still on board. Cast on 9 sts like all ribbon yarns. Then work first row using the bottom edge ladder of the same yarn you just cast on. To do that you need to push sts on needle to begin of needle since you will be working first sts on needle again. Then wind up at end of row where you left yarn hanging. Work top of ribbon ladder across nine sts. Then push back to end of needle and work bottom ladder. It's kind of like working the same yarn twice, once on top and once on bottom. If you use the color on the top of pillow of last row as the new first row you will have different color stripes on each side. If not then both sides will be mirror image. I liked the non-mirror. Hope this helps. The rewards are great.
Four stars because no matter how many of the videos watched-still can't figure out how to do the pillows. BUT it looks quite pretty just used as a ruffle yarn. Amazing color changes/I used fall colors. i am going back for more and when I have more patience, will try those darned pillows again!
