I have never knitted a garment before with linen fiber. The texture is fun and I can tell it will drape beautifully. The vest is a great project for my first linen garment.

I have folks I knit for my kids who don't like wool, and this linen yarn is a wonderful substitute! It's cushy and drapey, and after a few washings is soft. The dark blue Suit is softer than the black Abyss, the dark grey Tar is softer than the lighter grey Graphite. I made the Stephen West Spectra scarf in the Shibui linen wedges lighter colored, matrix darker, my sons love them.

I am working with this yarn on the popular Color Affection pattern on Ravelry. I know that the yarn and garment will change a lot with washing and blocking. Can't wait til I'm done with the shawl to see what happens! Right now I am in love with the crunchy hand it's got. I wish I could keep that aspect, but the softening will make it more wearable.

I bought 3 colors in this linen to make the ever popular Color Affection that's been going around on Ravelry. It's crisp and the yarn construction is really interesting. I don't know how to describe it. It will soften immensely once I'm done knitting with it, and that makes me a little sad. But the softening of it will add drape, and that's a good thing!

Interesting chainette construction makes this linen yarn soft and easy to knit with. Can't wait to work with it again!
