Manos Del Uruguay Serena Multis Yarn - 7939 Blackberry Ice Reviews

Manos Del Uruguay Serena Multis Yarn - 7939 Blackberry Ice
7939 Blackberry Ice shown $16.00
Serena is a lightweight, whisper-soft yarn for trans-seasonal knitting. It combines two luxury fibers: baby alpaca and pima cotton. The alpaca gives beautiful drape, and the cotton year-round wearability. Together, both fibers produce softly heathered color effects. The supple fabric is perfect for simple shapes as well as the tucks and gathers of so many contemporary designs.

Manos yarn is hand dyed and hand wound by cooperatives in Uraguay. The one-of-a-kind Manos colorways are created using a refined kettle-dying process. As with all hand dyed yarn, there can be variation in hue, even within the same dye batch. Please be aware that the basic winding technique used by the co-ops can result in up to a 2 gram variation in 50g hanks.

The Manos Cooperatives are a part of the World Fair Trade Organization and every hank of Manos yarn you purchase helps a woman in Uraguay support her family!

Overall Serena Multis Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (4.5 based on 10 reviews)

Soft & Beautiful 4 out of 5 (4 out of 5)
I was pleasantly surprised to receive my two hanks of Wildflowers as the online photo doesn't do the colors justice! Although I haven't knit with it yet -that is why I only gave four stars- it is as luxurious as any cashmere in my stash. I know I'll be buying more of this soon! The $16 price is very reasonable for the yardage & it's almost too nice to use for socks, so I'm planning to make a gift with it. After reading the first review, I hope it doesn't have any knots another reason for the four stars.

I love this yarn! 5 out of 5 (5 out of 5)
Gorgeous colors and incredibly soft. I'm knitting a cable scarf and the weight makes it delicate and fluffy. One warning, though: don't unravel your work too many times because the yarn won't stand up to repeated rough treatment.

I want to marry this yarn! 5 out of 5 (5 out of 5)
I absolutely LOVE this yarn. So soft and squishy, and so pretty! I'm using some to make my first sweater, and then I couldn't wait for that to be done, so I'm also making a shawl in another color way. You want this yarn. You neeeeeeeed this yarn!

Beautiful 5 out of 5 (5 out of 5)
This yarn is absolutely beautiful. The lovely muted purples are set off beautifully by the natural color.

I love this yarn! 5 out of 5 (5 out of 5)
This is one of my favorite yarns to work with. Soft, not splitty, soft and luxurious. Did I mention it's soft? : Really, it makes lovely shawls, scarves, cowls. Feels so nice next to your skin. Can't recommend it highly enough. And, as always, JBW sends your order so fast and with such fantastic customer service! What's not to love?

Wonderfully soft 5 out of 5 (5 out of 5)
I love this yarn. I have used Serena to make scarves, fingerless mitts, cowls, and I have never been disappointed. It is soft and lovely, it works up beautifully. Fun to work with, and fun to wear. The colors are softly muted, for the most part, and luscious. I like the solids and the variegates equally. Will use again and again. And ordering from JBW is always a treat--fast, courteous, well packed. Serena yarn makes me happy.

Beautiful color! 5 out of 5 (5 out of 5)
I bought a couple hanks of this in Mermaid. I love the colors, but it is darker than it appears online. I'm making an infinity scarf. It looks great so far and it's so soft!

This has to be one of the nicest softest yarns I've ever knitted with. Very pleased with end product. I am on my second Serena scarf! Wonderful product.
