I upgraded from the denise needles to this knitter's pride deluxe set, and I am in heaven. They are gorgeous, for sure - but they are also far more effective. The needles themselves are hardwood with a perfectly pointed needle, so my knitting speed has increased! In fact, I haven't even wanted to use any of my circular bamboo needles anymore because of the rounded points. And the cables are supple and thin - I have been using them for magic loop and they've been working beautifully! Of course, the very first time I used them, I learned the hard way that you really DO have to use those little keys to tighten up the connection, but now I'm on my way. I'm a happy, happy knitter!
