I am new to the craft. Less than a year. I have 48+ years of counted thread and sewing experience under my belt, but not crochet. I started with plastic hooks and they got hot and sticky in my hand-ewww! Then I went to aluminum. Better glide, but cold and unbalanced. Then I tried these at the advise of a friend. BINGO! They are beautiful to look at, and they warm in my hand without getting sticky or losing sliding power. They're also extremely well balanced.
