It took me well less than an hour to make a scarf with this yarn. The threaded/ladder portion is wide with large openings so it is easy to find and grab each stitch. The faux fur itself is narrow. It seemed a little sparse when I first unrolled the skein, but once knitted the fur to yarn balance is fine. I love the look of the final product. I have used several colors to make a long scarf, a cowl and a shorter neck wrap. Because of the width of the yarn portion- similar to the width of a traditional ruffle yarn rather than a ribbon yarn, I prefer the thicker shorter items that I've made over the longer scarf. But with a long scarf, the wearer has opportunity to double wrap. I think this would make a lovely trim for a hood or capelet.
