The colors are beautiful but the yarn itself splits easily. You have to be kind of slow and steady in knitting the stitches.

This is a great yarn to work with.I've experienced no splitting and enjoyed the lovely hand. You won't want to make too many mistakes as it is difficult to undo, the little fibers love to stick together.

I used the Intense Rainbow to make the Intense Rainbow scarf pattern also from Crystal Palace yarns. It was a gift and a huge hit! My friend remarked that it was exactly what he wanted!

Making a Mini Mochi hat in a trial colorway. This will be interesting. Have made 3 others and they all turn out different.

I ordered my first ball of mini mochi in 'equinox.' The yarn is beautiful and I love the way the colors change. However, the thickness is very unpredictable - ranging from very, very thin, to thick - at least sport weight, if not worsted weight. Although I knit socks, I don't think I would like this for socks. I got it to do the easy lace scarf (free pattern on their site) and it is fine for that and is working up beautifully. The inconsistencieds in the weight is not noticeable and will likely add some interesting texture. I had ordered some Sausalito and made a scarf with it and did not notice inconsistencies in the weight with it.

This yarn is lovely to look at, delightful to hold, but both skeins I purchased had many knots, several of which had been joined without regard to the color repeats. If consistently repeating colors are important to the look of your project, I recommend you pass this one by.
