Fun and Funky
This ruffle yarn knits up a little stiffer than others. It doesn't drape like other ruffles scarves I've worked. The colors and patterns play nicely and create a unique product though. The width of the yarn is slightly narrower than other winter weight ruffle yarns. Because of its weight I see this is as a fall to winter transition item and have made several items including a light scarf, and shorter neck piece. The yardage allows for two short items per skein. I am thinking of using one of my remaining skeins to trim a purse or other accessory. I might have favored this yarn more if I had pre-washed it, but hadn't the patience.

Very fun and fast
It took me well less than an hour to make a scarf with this yarn. The threaded/ladder portion is wide with large openings so it is easy to find and grab each stitch. The faux fur itself is narrow. It seemed a little sparse when I first unrolled the skein, but once knitted the fur to yarn balance is fine. I love the look of the final product. I have used several colors to make a long scarf, a cowl and a shorter neck wrap. Because of the width of the yarn portion- similar to the width of a traditional ruffle yarn rather than a ribbon yarn, I prefer the thicker shorter items that I've made over the longer scarf. But with a long scarf, the wearer has opportunity to double wrap. I think this would make a lovely trim for a hood or capelet.

Makes up Quick
This is a tube style ruffle yarn. It can actually be stretched horizontally to form a cowl. I learned this trick by searching for ideas for this yarn online. It also attaches nicely to a knitted band of worsted yarn to make a neck piece. The yarn can be stretched a few different ways to achieve varying effects. I found the weave of the Malizia yarn to hold together well, this has not always been the case with other tube style yarns. You will still need to come up with some kind of knit in or roll under to treat the raw edges. I found choosing the best end treatment to be my biggest challenge. Used as a single layer ruffle, the yardage is sufficient to make at least two cowls or neck pieces or one very ample scarf. Note that the silver/grey color is darker than it's image online appears. I had thought this was an almost white color with silver highlights, but it is really a light to medium grey.
