Ribbed from top to bottom, these woolly cuffs give you the look of thick cozy socks, but fit nicely into your boots. Smooth stirrups keep them seated. Worked in the round, boot cuffs are a nice, easy 'warm-up' before you tackle your first pair of socks. One size stretches to fit up to a 15" / 38cm boot top circumference. To fit boot height (excluding heel): ankle boot 6" / 15cm; short boot 11" / 28cm; tall boot 15½"/ 39cm; finished height includes 4" / 10cm fold-down cuff. Ankle boot cuff: Approx. 240 yds of a worsted weight yarn. Short boot cuff: Approx. 340 yds of a worsted-weight yarn. Tall boot cuff: Approx. 460 yds of a worsted-weight yarn.
I loved making this shawl, and I enjoyed the process of choosing colors and row counts. I did use Jul Designs fasteners rather than stitching the shoulder seam. I also made my project a little larger by about 10 inches. The big surprise was my 30 year old niece modeling it at Easter when we all got together and then styling it on my 85 year old mother. It also looks great on my taller sister, but I think it looks best on ME!
