| Restock of Euro Sock, New Pom Pom, & Fresh Soak A Spring Clean With the Beans! | | |
The end of winter is finally upon us, and we can see those snow showers starting to melt into rain showers, drenching our flower beds and sparkling in the sun as it peeks out from behind the clouds. Spring is always such a joyous time - the birds are singing, the bees are buzzing, and everything seems to have this glow around it, even inanimate things!
|
As the snow melts into the rain, so too does our yarn - well, kind of. We've recently picked up the Universal Yarn Colorburst yarn - a rainbow cake that melts shades of gorgeous color into one another seamlessly.
This long-run color-changing yarn is crafted from a blend of 65% Superwash fine Merino wool and 35% acrylic, making it easy to wash and a pleasure to make with. Oh, and did we mention it boasts an incredible 660 yards per ball? Now THAT'S something to celebrate.

|
This DK weight yarn is available in an array of shades, all melting into one another like a rainbow that was made out of watercolor - and you guys know how we feel about rainbows 'round these parts, hehe!

With Spring coming in to take the spotlight, our moods have been lifted - we want to DO something, and that something for the majority of us is to clean. Spring cleaning is a great way to refresh your home and wardrobe to make room for the new year ahead of you. Seriously, nothing is more soothing than opening a window, hearing the singing birds, and folding some fresh linens - it's almost like a true rebirth for the year and we're totally here for it.
With the heavy cleaning comes the organizing, so we have to ask - are you a person who enjoys the heavy lifting of cleaning, or do you like to focus on the fine details like organizing your accessories, books, and clothing? As makers, we have to say, we're more in the camp of organizing - we love figuring out the fine details of our home because it just feels... complete.
Do you have an organizer for your needles yet? Sometimes our stashes can start to get overwhelming, and just taking the step to put those little treasures away can prevent a lot of stress in the future. With the della Q Maker's Canvas Portfolio and Maker's Canvas Mini Zips, you'll always have your needles and patterns on hand and ready to go as soon as you are!
|
|
The della Q Maker's Canvas Portfolio is the ideal way to store your needles and notions, including a new pattern sleeve window that can stand by itself for optimal viewing while you craft!
No more craning your neck over the side of your chair to try and figure out what your next stitch pattern is going to be! With sewn pockets, zippers pockets, and vinyl pages, you can truly customize how you organize and house your stash of needles, customizing it to fit your life and your making journey in a way that really suits you.
|
"But, Jimmy, what about our notions and accessories?" you may be asking. Well, we have a storage solution for those as well! The della Q Maker's Canvas Mini Zip is a compact, neat little wonder made to hold all of your accessories in a sleek, rugged way! The magnetic interior of this little treat makes organizing easy without the use of an inner pocket to keep everything... squared away, hehe! The genuine leather accent gives this wondrous accessory a modern, color-blocked vibe!

Oh. My. Tosh.
While we've been cleaning out our stashes, we've learned a very useful technique to help us on our journey of keeping and tossing things, and that comes with a little question with everything we're stuck on - "Does this item spark joy?" And from there, we decide, if it doesn't, we donate or throw it out, and if it does, well, we keep it!
So we have to ask, Madelinetosh - do you spark joy? And our answer has to be: Why, yes! Yes, it does! We've found some Madelinetosh Euro Sock in our warehouse that was squirreled away, and, as per spring cleaning would suggest - we need to find a loving home for it all!
Madelinetosh Euro Sock is a 100% superwash Merino fingering weight yarn. At 435 yards per skein, this yarn is more than enough to make the perfect (or should we say, pair-fect) sock yarn, with only one skein necessary to create a beautiful pair (or two if you're looking for a shawl yarn)! Each skein uses ethically sourced wool from South Africa and is dyed to perfection by our stellar Tosh Team in Fort Worth, TX.
When you order more than one skein of any Madelinetosh yarn, our fulfillment team will visually match the hanks for you, ensuring that your project will be the best it can be! If we find any issues such as dramatic color differences, we will hold the yarn and email you with the information so you can take charge of your yarn and let us know what you would like to do with it!
See a color you like listed as 0 available? By ordering anyway, our stellar fulfillment team will reach out and let you know when to expect that particular shade to arrive. Your order will be placed on a brief hold and as soon as it reaches the building, we'll ship it out to you!

Pom Pom, Please!
You know when you really get in the groove of cleaning, and you find something that you haven't seen in a long time? That feeling when you just sit on the floor and flip through the pages of an old book or critique an old hat you made three years ago (that somehow made it under the bed to hang out with dust bunnies)? Getting distracted while cleaning sort of feels inevitable because you unearth some neat things in your wake. Seriously, this can't just be us, right?!
|
In our cleaning, we've gotten a little bit distracted with the newest edition of Pom Pom Quarterly Magazine! The bright, springy colors caught our eye, and we just had to put everything down to take a gander.
We were instantly enamored with the beautiful pastel shades displayed in the pages, accompanying gorgeous designs with whimsical stitch patterns and rainbows upon rainbows of color combinations. We were awestruck!
|
|
This edition of Pom Pom Quarterly took inspiration from quilted designs focusing on resourcefulness and practicality - we owe a lot of our craft to the quiltmakers of the past! Oh, and did we mention this issue is perfect for those of us who may have gone a little overboard last year buying new yarns? It's great for stash-bushing and using up those treasured mini-skeins you've saved up for a rainy day (you know what they say about spring showers, hehe!!

Project On Our Needles!
Laura's Dissent Pullover
We seriously can't get over just how beautiful this pullover is, made by our own Head Bean, Jimmy! Our hobby is great at producing cozy-to-wear items with beautiful artistry, and this is certainly no exception! The Dissent Pullover was inspired by American Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, with the colorwork yoke representing her Dissent jabot. We can't lie, we're mega-jealous of how beautifully this turned out, and we wish we all had matching ones. Congrats on finishing such a lovely piece - especially during International Women's Month, Jimmy!
