| Tosh Pashmina Restock, Socks, Sweaters, & Shawls Retail Is Officially Reopening! | | |
It snowed this week, so we sought warmth and color in the form of fiber flowers from our production team! As we walked in, we saw a brilliant array of pink and blue, making us a little nostalgic for those days of spring where the flowers bloom and bees buzz. We were told in a hushed tone that these floral arrangements were made for Valentine's Day, and hearing that made our hearts soar!
The Jimmy Beans Wool fiber bouquets are the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's day this year! Our production princesses crafted up some new additions to the garden, and the best part? We have options for both knitters AND crocheters - can we get a booyah?!
|
For crocheters, these two new bouquets come beautifully arranged in a reusable wall plant hanger and contains three hanks of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light yarn in complementary colors to create an eye-catching and unique shawl that will not only keep you warm but stylish as well!
The crochet version of this project uses the Plot Twist pattern by CJ Brady and comes with a sleek Bryspun Palmwood crochet hook in US size F and a Ravelry download code for the pattern.

|
Are you a knitter? This one's for you - we have an option that uses Madelinetosh Tosh Sock in three gorgeous shades which are also artfully arranged in a reusable plant hanger. Once you're done with your project, use this product to store more yarn, plant succulents, hang it on the wall, or place it on the counter for something sleek and modern. Using the Festival of Stitches pattern by Lisa Hannes, you will also receive a Ravelry download code as well as a US size 4 - 24" circular needle!
|
Like all Jimmy Beans bouquets, if you would like to send one as a gift and leave a personalized note, please be sure to include it in the "extra comments" field upon checkout and we'll take care of the rest!
|
|
Sound the alarm! We've gotten in a shipment of Madelinetosh Pashmina - this is NOT a drill! When we hear our warehouse doorbell go off, we all frantically run to the back to see what's come in. Today, we saw a big triangle on the box and immediately knew what was up - it was a shipment from Madelinetosh!
|
We opened the package with delight, seeing all of the squishy Pashmina yarn that lay in wait, just asking to be used in our next project! Madelinetosh Pashmina is an ultra-soft, silky, sport-weight yarn crafted out of 75% Merino Wool, 15% silk, and 10% cashmere.
The silky sheen and darling drape of the fabric this creates will make you feel as luxurious as old Hollywood film stars! Each skein is hand-dyed with love and artisan's hands, making each skein unique and one-of-a-kind in its own right.

|
Each time you order two or more Madelinetosh yarns, our superb warehouse team visually matches them to make your next project as seamless (hehe!) as possible!

Ready, Set, Raglan!
One of the things we love about working at Jimmy Beans is getting insider info on all of the newest things. Whenever a new book comes in, we pop out of the aisles of yarn like little, ahem, squirrels, eager to add another item to our extensive stashes. This week, we've uncovered the newest book from Pom Pom Magazine - Ready, Set, Raglan!
|
|
This book has everything you need to create a gorgeous statement sweater for your next outing of braving the elements. Ready, Set, Raglan! is the follow-up to the popular book Knit How and teaches about seamless raglan sweaters with eight gorgeous patterns to drool over, er, knit up!
Using Pom Pom's signature style of beautiful photography accompanying designs and stories, you'll be transported into a new knitting adventure featuring your next favorite project!

Swanky Shawls!
Planning out our clubs is a huge point of pride for us! We love the creativity that goes on behind the scenes and all of the hard work that eventually pays off in the ways of happy customers and friendships crafted from the year-long journeys! We're so excited to announce that our first shipment of the 2021 Madelinetosh Shawl Club is shipping out this week! Have you gotten yours ordered yet?!
The 2021 Madelinetosh Shawl Club uses beautiful shades of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light + Tweed that come in pre-wound balls so you can start knitting or crocheting up your shawl as soon as possible! Each month comes with the yarn you need, as well as a pattern card with the instructions and a unique shawl closure!
The knit version of this subscription was designed by Chiwei Ranck while the crochet version was dreamed up by Brittany Garber. Each option features an array of shades that complement each other wonderfully. This club is a great way to start adding new projects to your queue or to treat yourself to something nice and relaxing every month! You can begin your club subscription now by choosing between paying monthly ($15.00 - U.S. customers) or pre-pay for the year ($180.00).
We also want to remind everyone that this club subscription will have Zoom meetings, sneakily called Jimmy's Crafty Hour (like happy hour, hehe!), dedicated to helping and chatting about the project. The first meeting will be Friday, February 5th, at 4:00 PM PST. You can find more info on these meetings and stay connected from our Facebook group here!

Sock It To 'Em!
Have you ever knit from a sock blank before?! Some of the Beans didn't even know that was a thing - so we helped make a YouTube tutorial to help those Beans and some of your guys learn about the process of knitting from a sock blank!!
Working at JBW has taught us so many things - like how to fix twisted stitches, how to do brioche knitting, and now how to knit from a sock blank! We've unearthed some effortless gradient sock blanks from Huckleberry Yarns and just looking at them makes us wanna craft something up! These double-stranded sock blanks are made up using 75% Superwash Merino wool and 25% nylon to give you that perfect amount of give in your next pair of socks!
Wanna know the best part? You don't even have to use them for socks! By getting two, you can make a center-out shawl that shows off the gradual color shift gorgeously and elegantly!
Please note that the blank only unravels in one direction, so if you want to start with the color at the opposite end of the blank, you will need to unravel the entire blank and separate it into two balls first!

Okay, we've officially had it, we need a little good ol' fashioned r and r (retail reopening, that is)!
|
That's right! The Jimmy Beans Wool retail shop is finally opening back up again by appointment only starting on February 2nd! As a way to make sure everyone gets the attention in a space that's up to COVID regulation, we've decided this is the best course of action until otherwise stated.
We've missed you guys so much it physically hurts our hearts, so having our retail space reopening is like a dream come true, and the excitement is indescribable!
To keep our retail shop sanitized and our office and fulfillment teams safe, please note that we will be restricting access to the warehouse and bathrooms for the duration of the pandemic. Unfortunately, it's just too tough to keep track of every customer and their whereabouts outside the boundaries of our retail store. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience!

Project On Our Needles!
Sam's Blueberry Waffle Socks
A few weeks ago, we asked you guys through our survey who you like to knit for (whether it be yourself, family members, friends, or pets) and our Bean, Sam, answered that in person with these gorgeous socks she made for her mother! The bright blue is absolutely scrumptious and makes us think of those blue raspberry candies, so the namesake, Blueberry Waffle, just made it all the better!
Sam used Madelinetosh DK Twist from a Grab Bag she snatched a few months back and was thrilled with the colorways she received, which were Submerse and Plunge.
