| Father's Day, New Tosh Collection, & Sweater Club! Free Shipping through June! | | |
June is officially here, meaning we're switching gears and readying ourselves for Father's Day. We don't know about you guys, but our dads can be so difficult to shop for! A lot of us have a dad who says the same thing every year, "You didn't need to get me anything, Sweetie!" But sometimes we just wanna do something nice for him - GOSH! That's why we've decided that something a little cheeky is always a great gift to get that shining smile from him.

This one's for you, Dad! We're raising our needles as a toast to our fathers in our newest kit, the Cheers to Dad - Can Cuff Kit, which makes the perfect project to whip up in time for Father's Day!
Each kit contains 110 yards of pre-wound Cascade 220 yarn in either Midnight or Vinci. You also receive five contrasting colors, a leather football tag, and a darning needle to add those final touches to each can cuff to say cute and clever things to show your love for Pop!
|
The pattern for this kit can be found on our official Free Pattern page. Needles and crochet hooks are not included in the kit, but we recommend a US 5 DPN or a US G-6 crochet hook!
And, just because we're celebrating good ol' Pops, here's a dad joke to brighten your day!
What did the buffalo say to his son when he dropped him off at school? Bison!

There's a running joke in the fiber arts community stating that makers are like dragons. Having a whole hoard of yarn, tools, bags, and patterns that we lovingly call our "stash" is just our version of the fabled mountain of gold and jewelry! Those items are our Precious and we guard that stash with needles in hand! Yes, there may be yarn in there from seven years ago, but we'll use it eventually (or so we say)! We just can't help it though - having our things available and easily combined into little collections is not only satisfying, it makes them super easy to find!

This is why we're super excited to announce the very first Madelinetosh collection! Madelinetosh Collection No. 1 features six different designers that brought their visions to life using four Tosh staple yarns: Tosh Merino Light, Tosh DK, Tosh Vintage, and Impression.
Each design is lovingly named after areas in Fort Worth, TX, which is the hometown of Madelinetosh HQ. Suitable for adventurous beginners and beyond, this collection features an array of pullovers, cardigans, and scarves in classic and timeless shapes.

Break A Sweat(er) This Summer!
As July slowly creeps up on us, we've started getting a little antsy! What were we going to do for the next project for the Madelinetosh Sweater Club? What color palette are we going to knit with next? The whole process is so exciting and nerve-wracking! We took the question of what colors to use to our Facebook group, asking you guys what you would like to knit with and the answers spanned the whole rainbow with a hard focus on shades of gray, green, and purple - we're obsessed (purple is one of our favorite colors, too, hehe)! We've also decided our project is the Basic Raglan by Joji Locatelli in Tosh DK!

The Madelinetosh Sweater Club is an ideal way to introduce some larger projects into your ever-expanding knitting repertoire! Whether you've crafted a million sweaters, or you're just now getting into the swing of things, this club lets you connect with other makers working on the same project! In our dedicated Facebook group, you can chat, ask questions, and show off your stellar knitting skills in posts and live video check-ins with the Beans (who are also partaking)! This project will span three months, starting on July 15th and resulting in a gorgeous work of art that will be ready to wear when the seasons begin to change!

Sleepin' Like A Baby!
One constant around the Jimmy Beans warehouse is that there's always someone making something for a friend who's expecting a baby. From little booties to plush blankets to the cutest little sweaters ever, we've all seen someone here feverishly knitting or crocheting away as the days tick by! We've always wanted to ask them, "How did you choose a project?" There are so many options out there, it's hard to pin one down and stick to it!
|
That's why Rowan made this decision super easy! The Mako Cotton Baby Keepsake Box is a kit that has all of the ingredients you need to make a squishy, sturdy baby blanket! With a pattern available for knitters and crocheters alike, anyone can join in on the joy!
This kit uses Rowan Mako Cotton Baby, which is an extremely fine cotton yarn with naturally sourced Lyocell. The way the fibers are spun creates a soft elasticity which is ideal for easy making! Available in three color palettes, blue, green, and pink, this kit also comes with a Rowan Gift Tag as the cherry on top of this scrumptious cake!

Around The Whirl'd With New Crochet!
One of the greatest (or should we say gradient-est) things about a huge cake of multicolored yarn is that it can spice up any project with an effortless fade! No need to coordinate a palette, organize how the colors blend, or worry about undertones when you have a pre-dyed, pre-wound cake of yarn that does all the heavy lifting for you! Even just a simple garter stitch sweater can turn out to be an eye-catching piece that will turn heads and be the talk of the town (or at least your friend group, hehe!)!
Scheepjes Whirl is the perfect example of this, boasting a generous 1094 yards of yarny goodness in a rainbow of delectable shades, breathing life into your projects with gorgeous, vibrant color melts in a monochromatic fade or palette of complementary colors! With fun names like Watermelon Hellraiser and Pistachi Oh So Nice, it's hard to not have a smile on your face when you reach for that project bag!
Crocheters always need a little bit of eye candy, right?! These kits all only require one cake of Scheepjes Whirl yarn to get ya hooked! Each design is suitable for the intermediate crocheter and beyond, so be prepared to flex your skills with a triangular scarf that utilizes an array of different stitches, a breezy poncho that can be worn three ways, or a knee-length dress suitable for children ages 2-4!

Hey there! You may have noticed that some of your packages from us have been packed with plastic film to protect your items instead of bubble wrap or air-filled pouches.
We receive these plastic bags from our suppliers, protecting the yarn that comes into the Jimmy Beans warehouse. Rather than stuffing our shipments with bubble wrap, we had the wooly green idea to reuse the stuffing and protective material we were already receiving! By doing this, we cut our plastic usage way down while protecting your needles and yarn all the same! It's a win-win!
|
We encourage you to either use the plastic again or recycle it in your bin!
