| Crochet Craftvent, Breast Cancer, & Rowan Kits! 1300 Yards of Our Favorite Yarn! | | |
On the first week of October, Jimmy Clause gifts to you...
Crochet Craftvent in two colorways: purple or blue! Cross-country, slalom, and freestyle your way through the holiday ski-son! Welcome to Crochet Craftvent 2019 where there are yarn balls, notions, and tasty treats aplenty. Count down to Christmas as you open a box each day to reveal everything you need to create your Hit the Slopes wrap!
|
|
All of the goodies come decked out in a Jimmy Beans Blue box - even a SmartStix hook - so you'll be all set for chain-one of this project come December first! The Jimmy Beans Elves have put together over 1300 yards (holy snow-kes!) of Madelinetosh, Malabrigo, Rowan, and Hedgehog Fibres in two colorways: Mount Rose is gradient of dark to light purples, while Vienna combines grays and blues with pops of orange. Fun fact: Mount Rose is a gorgeous ski resort just moments from our office here at Jimmy Beans! (But sadly, Vienna is a little farther away.)

Amy Gunderson's Hit the Slopes is a perfect project for the adventurous beginning crocheter - and beyond! Techniques in this project include single, half, double, and triple crochet, decreases, and post stitches.
Choose your colorway and pick your payment plan! Then grab your sleigh and crochet your way into the holidays!

Think Pink!
October marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month and this year, we're proud to be partnering with two incredible organizations, Breastcancer.org and Knitted Knockers. As a woman-owned and operated company, the prevalence of breast cancer really hits home for us. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer - we all have a friend, family member, or acquaintance that has faced their own battle, including our sweet HR Liaison, Mindy.
With your help, we are committed to providing Breastcancer.org and Knitted Knockers with as much support as we possibly can. $5 from the sale of every Breast Cancer Cowl Kit, $5 from our Lorna's Laces String Quintet in Marimba, $3 from each Petal Wrist Ruler, and $2.50 from our Pink Oh Snaps will be donated to Breastcancer.org. And, $5 from our exclusive Knocker Blockers benefits Knitted Knockers. Please join us in the fight against breast cancer.

It's starting to get chilly as the fall weather rolls in here at Jimmy Beans Headquarters, and we want nothing more than to wrap ourselves up in something big, squishy, and cozy. Good thing that we have this fabulous Colorshift Shawl Kit from Melanie Berg!
Combining a rich palette of different yarns, weights, and colorways, this textured shawl is the perfect way to showcase your knitting expertise and favorite hand-dyed yarn! Colorshift uses yarn from Magpie Fibers, The Periwinkle Sheep, and Spun Right Round, combining a wavy garter stripe with bright pops of color in drop stitches. AND, this enormous elongated triangular wrap measures a whopping 92.5" by 23.5" from end to end. That's over seven and a half feet long!

This luxury kit includes everything you'll need to complete this shawl in style:

Focus on Fall!
Focus: a center of attention, attraction, or activity. Every single one of these words describe how we feel about this new fall collection from Rowan! Our attention is FOCUSED on the simple yet elegant details of the projects. We are quite FOCUSED on our attraction to the two yarns used - brand new Island Blend and Cashmere Haze. And we can't wait to get FOCUSED on the activity of casting on!
Lisa Richardson is the talented designer and creative mind behind all of these wearable sweaters & accessories. This collection - Rowan Focus: Natural Fibres is one half of Rowan Magazine #66. The other half is Bookbound which features classic Rowan designs by the likes of Arne & Carlos and Kaffe Fassett. You can purchase these collections separately or packaged together for double your stitching pleasure!
We've been so inspired by these new Rowan looks that we've been busy building as many kit options for them as we can come up with! If you want to browse individual patterns, you're in luck: we have a la carte kits and downloads ready to go!

Project on our Needles!
Anzula's Roslindale Hat and Cowl Set
Anzula came in clutch with these AMAZING accessories! They brought us not one, but TWO sweet projects to keep us warm as the temperature starts to dip. Both the cowl and hat were knit using Anzula For Better or Worsted yarn to have something a little luxurious, a little stretchy, and a lotta cozy! Both garments feature the same, interesting stitch pattern to truly bring these squishy projects together as a set to wear together (or one at a time for those not-THAT-cold-but-I-still-wanna-be-comfortable days)!
