As crocheters, we find inspiration in just about everything; when we start a project, we aim for something practical, but with a little flair. The inception of gothic architecture mirrors this philosophy perfectly! Not only was this style of building a whole lot more functional than what was ever done before, but they were b-e-a-utiful to boot!

Paying homage to the gorgeous and revolutionary ideas of the gothic aesthetics of the mid-12th to mid-16th centuries comes the Official 2019 Scheepjes CAL! Designed by Tatsiana Kupryianchyk of Lilla Bjorn Crochet, The Rozeta CAL is a gorgeous blanket featuring a design reminiscent of the intricate rose windows that gained popularity during this architectural period!

Based on the times of the day when the sun (or moon) shines through each glimmering glass piece, choose between:

• Dawn: Pale blue and red with touches of purple.
• Twilight: Navy with a rainbow of hues scattered in between.
• Dusk: Green with peach and lavender shades.
• Midnight: Solid black and stark white.

Each kit comes with 15 balls (with the exception of Midnight having 13) of Scheepjes Colour Crafter yarn, 1 Official Rozeta Leather Look Label, 1 Wooden Ornament, 1 Skein of DMC Embroidery Thread, 1 Embroidery Needle, and a letter from the designer! The CAL Begins on October 9th and will be hosted on the Official Scheepjes Facebook group. Winni's Exhale Shawl

Cloudy days around here aren't a problem when you've got a good wrap to bundle up in! Our bean, Winni, knit this beautiful shawl to make her gray days a little bluer (though, that may just be the indigo, hehe!)! Using five skeins of Scheepjes Skies Heavy yarn, she got to work on this large, triangular wrap, entranced by the beautiful lace ringlet pattern - she just HAD to knit it! Just as the name of the pattern would suggest, each stitch in the garter section was meditative to knit - the perfect way to end this gorgeous project!
