Hedgehogs! ...Hedgehogs? HEDGEHOGS!
Last Friday, our bay doors opened wide, and the warehouse was flooded in speck-tacular light. Once our eyes adjusted, we hugged each other and squealed with glee (*squeeeeeee*) as an array of adorable, speckled hedgehogs came trotting in!
In this moment, Jimmy Beans rejoiced. Some could hear angels singing! Some nearly died from the cuteness. Some wished they were Bill Murray in a re-imagined "Groundhog Hedgehog Day" movie so the moment could repeat over and over forever.
Okay, okay, so maybe it didn't actually happen this way, but when you've been pining over Hedgehog Fibres as long as we have, it sure felt like it did! Finally, after years of waiting, Jimmy Beans is now the proud purveyor of Skinny Singles and Merino DK. These glorious yarns from indie-dyer Beata Jezek are bold, vibrant and anything but boring. You've probably seen them gracing the needles of top designers like Stephen West and Andrea Mowry, and now they can be yours too!
Fun fact! Beata's last name "Jezek" translates to "hedgehog" in Slovakian.

Shiver me timbers, it's already week 4 of our Seven Seas Summer Sale! This week, we visit the Indian Ocean, and put 5 new brands that we love on sale for up to 25-60% off!
Captain's Log, Week 4. Position, Indian Ocean. Seems our luck from last week has run out. Caught in torrential monsoon downpour. Ship taking on water. Yarns safe for now, but not for long if we don't lighten the load. Four yarns picked thus far for relinquishment: Cascade, Manos, Sirdar, and Sublime. Struggling to determine the fifth. Shipman's suggestion? Give up my hoard of Knit Collage, knowing we can replenish our supply once we reach the shores of India. I don't like it, but by golly, she's right. I'd sooner give up skeins of Cast Away than become a castaway myself...

Meet A Bean!
Ever wonder about the Beans behind the yarn? The Beans that pull your orders, answer your phone calls, and ship your Beanie Bags? This week, we introduce you to Jenny!
Today is a bittersweet day for us at Jimmy Beans - it is Jenny's last day! Jenny is one of our Marketing Beans, though she's been a Bean-of-all-trades in her 7 years with us. She's also worked in Order Fulfillment and managed our Production Team! If you've enjoyed reading our newsletters over the last few years, chances are you're a fan of Jenny's writing. She's been a contributing writer, and wrote today's newsletter as her final hurrah!
Living in the high desert of Nevada, Jenny has always appreciated dry climates and beautiful, arid landscapes. This summer, Jenny is fulfilling a lifelong dream of living in the Southwest, packing up and moving to the Land of Enchantment! She'll be pursuing a future in the arts, of which she is so talented! Not only is she a fantastic knitter and fiber arts enthusiast, she also paints and draws.
Jenny, we'll miss your quick wit, smiling face, and knitting expertise! We know that the Southwest will be the perfect creative muse for this next chapter of your life, and we can't wait to follow along! You've got a tribe of Beans standing behind you, rooting you on - go, Jenny, go! Hugs to you, sweet friend!
