Back in July 2017, we released a new concept for our Little Beanie Bag - a 3-month mystery project! This project used all of the yarns from July, August and September to knit the Snowhemian Hat from designer Alex Tinsley. Each month's portion of the project was a mystery right up until the day it was delivered! This concept was such a hit that we've decided to use it full-time. Starting in January '18, each Little Beanie Bag AND Big Beanie Bag will consist of 3-month progressive projects, so you can really make the most out of the yarn samples you receive each month!

Beanie Bag Project Club

We have a really fun project in the works for our Little Beanie Bag subscription starting in January. Designed by Rachel Coopey of CoopKnits fame, this progressive mystery project will use the yarns from our upcoming January, February and March Little Beanie Bags.

BIG Beanie Bag Project Club

And for our Big Beanie Bag Project Club, we're excited to announce the first designer will be our very own in-house teacher, Laura Cunitz. You may recognize the talented Laura as the designer of the Malabrigo Caracol Cowl, and as the brains behind Knitting Nuances, an inspiring blog that brings you "fun tweaks to your knitting techniques!" And just like the Little Beanie Bag Project Club, this mystery project will utilize the yarns from January, February and March.

Good news! We've extended enrollment for January's shipment from December 31st to January 10th. The first installment for both clubs will ship at the end of January 2018. All subsequent shipments will ship between the 1st and 5th for the Littles, and the 10th and 15th for the Bigs!

2017 Craftvent Recap!

December flew by in a blur, but we know one thing that made each day of the month special: our 2017 Craftvent Calendars! Looking Back...

Looking back, 2017 was quite the year for us! Just a week into January, we found ourselves battling flood waters and ultimately escaping to a new (and better!) location. It was also our 15th year in business, which we celebrated with a special video series called Jimmy's Journey to 15. For a complete recap of big events from 2017, head on over to the blog!

If there's one thing we've learned this past year, it's that when women stand together, anything is possible! Inspired by powerful women of the past - and the present-day women leading the yarn industry - we've partnered with a series of "indie" hand-dyer revolutionaries to create gorgeous, limited edition colorways. Each month of the year, we'll introduce you to the work of one new "Micro-Brewer", one exclusively dyed yarn, and one "Bold Betty" from history!

Charitable Giving!

Join Jimmy Beans, Lorna's Laces, and 12 designers this upcoming year to pay it forward while knitting fabulous new projects. Each month, one of our selected designers will release a new pattern in honor of a nonprofit organization or charity of their choosing, and Lorna's Laces will create a custom-dyed color to go along with it! We'll be selling these as kits each month, and $5.00 will be donated for every kit sold to the selected charity!

Winter Games Sock KAL

Everyone knows we're big fans of the Winter Games (remember our Eddie the Eagle adventure?!), so we're celebrating this year's Games with an interactive cabled sock knit-along that is sure to kick your team spirit into high gear! In collaboration with Lara Smoot (of Shark Bite II fame!) this KAL will kick off with the start of the Winter Games on February 9th.
