April 2017 Fresh Deliveries

As luck would have it we were able to snag two new yarns from Rowan just as they were transitioning to a new distributor last fall. Kidsilk Haze Vintage and Soffili Yak are currently available nowhere else in the U.S.!

Rowan Selects Kidsilk Haze Vintage looks gorgeous knit up in the Keansburg Scarf! And did we mention these accompanying patterns are free?! We especially love the Newport Pullover and Ashbury Scarf, which utilize the yarn held double. When knitted, a pseudo-worn, vintage-look fabric is created, making this yarn an ideal choice for all layering pieces, accessories and essential shapes!

Next we have Soffili Yak, which is a decadent blend of wool, alpaca and yak. The brushed effect of this bulky blend keeps it soft and lofty and is created using the patented soffili production method, which results in a stunning, voluminous, light and airy yarn. We're certainly spoiled with all of these free patterns to try out! Check out the ultra-warm Bibbi Shawl!

Shibui's SS17 pattern collection has taken our breath away! Breezy, graceful and modern, this collection of garments is guaranteed to turn heads! We especially love the Athens, Getty and Aalto tops - knit in Shibui's fabulous summer yarns, they're perfect for keeping you cool and chic all summer long!

The newest Knit.Wear magazine has landed in our laps and we're absolutely thrilled with the selection of patterns! Many of the designs have an understated elegance exemplified by intriguing yet subtle design elements. Like the Amherst Pullover, for instance: those aren't just stripes embellishing the yoke of the sweater, they're BRIOCHE stripes! And we love how the geometric design of the Marblehead Poncho creates visual interest against a simple neutral background.

We've also got the newest Knitscene and it's packed full of fun knitting projects to see you through the summer.
