Rowan Creative Linen is a stunning line of yarn that Rowan recently picked up as Nashua yarns merged with them. Creative Linen has long been known for its strength and beauty as a quintessential summer yarn. Made of 50% Linen and 50% Cotton, this would be gorgeous for summer tops, tanks, skirts, accessories, and home items. With 219 yards per skein, just a few skeins would be enough for a multitude of projects including the Daphne and Rhea Tunics, and the Venus Sweater, all from the Seascapes Collection.
Rowan's fabulous Wool Cotton is now available in 4ply weight! This 50% Wool and 50% cotton blend is spun in a way that optimizes stitch definition and drape, making it the perfect yarn for summer! Use it for any pattern calling for a fingering weight yarn and prepare to be amazed at how much you like working with this yarn--it's simply awesome!
The new multi-colored Summerspun yarn from Rowan is a combination of cotton and wool created by spinning the multi-colored wool strand together with a printed cotton one to create a subtle striping texture that is as beautiful as it is unique. This yarn is a DK weight which makes it perfect for summer sweaters, tops, and accessories. Available in eleven stunning colors and accompanied by amazing pattern support, the Rowan Summerspun Collection, this new yarn is a gem that will shine in the Rowan collection of yarns for years to come! Pssst! To get a peek at some of the designs from the collection, check out the kits we've created: Belgrave, Berkeley, Chelsea, and Grosvenor.
Also new this season from Rowan, new colors of old favorites: Siena 4ply, Cotton Glace, Handknit Cotton, Kidsilk Haze, Panama, Savannah, Revive, All Seasons Cotton, Fine Lace, and Pima Cotton DK! Check out the new colors for the new season in all of your favorite Rowan classic yarns!

Monika's Water Turtles Shawl | 'A shawl for my grandmother's 85th birthday - she always knit me sweaters as a youngster, now it is time for me to knit for her. The Koigu was wonderful to work with and is so soft after washing, I am hooked!!!' |
Leanne's Habitat Hat | Leanne couldn't wait to get her hands on some of the Sweet Grass Wool's new Mountain Silk 2 Ply yarn! She couldn't have chosen a better pattern for this delicious yarn, either. The Habitat pattern by Jared Flood is warm, cozy, and looks great in the vibrant blue color Leanne chose. She almost started drooling when she started on this project and when she finished (in no time), her only regret was that she didn't get to run her fingers over the yarn obsessively anymore. |
Marilyn's Anna Cowl | Marilyn was one of several beans here at the shop who got excited about the Anna Cowl KAL we hosted earlier this year. Marilyn's choice on the yarn was different, though. She decided to use some squishy, soft Plymouth Mushishi for her cowl. Since each skein comes with almost 500 yards, Marilyn only needed 1 skein for the whole cowl! She said it was fun watching the striping as she knit and the pattern is lovely. |
