| Project Ideas From Urth, Noro + Simply Shetland Get Ready For An Outlandish MKAL | | |
It's only been a year and we're already on the edge of our needles awaiting the new season of a certain historical fantasy show we are hooked on! There's no need to worry, because a new chapter of Jamie and Claire's love story will be returning to our screens in just a few weeks and to celebrate, designer Rachel Roden is back with another Mystery Knit-A-Long for the show!
To get our binge of season 7 started, Rachel will release a series of clues on her Ravelry page beginning June 16 when the first episode premiers. While the details of this pattern are secret, Rachel did give us the hint that this piece will feature cables suitable for intermediate and adventurous beginner knitters!
As a way to help you jump into the An Echo In The Bone MKAL in a flash, our production princesses have packed special kits just for this occasion! Each kit includes three skeins of Twist Light in a custom hand-dyed colorway from Madelinetosh plus a set of Dreamz Cable Needles, and a download code for the pattern.

Urth is adding more rainbows to our June (and the rest of the year!) with an exclusive colorway dyed just for Jimmy Beans! For the rest of the year we've teamed up with our friends from Urth to bring you quarterly colors inspired by the changing of the trees for each season! To kick things off, the dyers took everything we love about spring and twisted them into some handsome hanks! Twist Of Spring is dyed on the beloved Uneek Fingering base! This 100% Extrafine Merino wool will add a unique striping effect to elevate anything from sweaters to socks.
The best part about all these skeins? For each one bought, Urth plants a tree in partnership Trees for the Future! Their mission is to provide families with tools and knowledge to plant trees in Africa.

Simply Shetland + Noro = A Rainbow Pullover!
Storytime! A few weeks ago our Beans got together to brainstorm new and creative kit ideas that we think our customers will love! Our warehouse wizard, Terry, had a brilliant thought: what if we combined the jaw-dropping multicolored hues of Noro with the durable and soft strands of Simply Shetland Lambswool & Cashmere yarn in one of our favorite patterns from the legendary designer Caitlin Hunter?! We were all so OBSESSED with this idea our speed knitter, Allison, got to work right away to bring this vision to life!
What we love about the High Lonesome sweater most is it has the traditional stunning yoke Caitlin is known for but exchanges millions of color changes with the variegated nature of Noro Silk Garden! By using only one colorway for the yoke, it makes this pattern approachable for knitters of all levels.
Pick your favorite color combination, choose your size, add to cart and checkout, and our Beans will have your next project on the way to you in a flash! Plus, we're currently offering this kit for 25% off!

Mark Your Calendars: The SNYC Is Coming!
We are less than four months away from the Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl, can you believe it is almost that time of year again?! To kick off the fun, the SNYC is hosting a Make-A-Long this summer so we can get prepared for all the fun happening September 21-24!
For the knitters: Inspired by the beautiful landscapes surrounding our home, the Sierra Nevada Shawl designed by Ksenia Naidyon brings the summits, valleys, streams, and rivers into a gorgeous knitted fabric! Worked at a loose gauge using two skeins of fingering weight yarn, this wrap is just the light and airy piece you need for the summer!
For the crocheters: Like the rocks found along the Truckee coursing through the Sierra Nevadas, the River Pebbles Crochet Shawl designed by Rachel Black is flowy and smooth! Simple stitches and chain spaces create a stunning texture throughout this striped shawl.
For both of these patterns our Beans came up with a color combination to-dye-for! Combine the stunning and speckled color Frontier Stars hand-dyed on Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light and the pretty pastels of Urth Uneek Fingering color 3027 to bring these projects to life!
As you make these shawls, collaborate with other makers on Zoom! Join us on June 14 for a Cast On Party then July 12 for a check-in, and August 16 to show off your projects! These sessions will happen from 6-7:30.

Project On Our Needles!
Aiyana's Pressed Flowers Cowl
Our Bean, Aiyana, has been OBSESSED with Amy Christoffers's stunning pressed flower patterns and knew she had to knit one this spring! So she grabbed two squishy soft skeins of Reno Rafter 7 and got to knitting to celebrate the blooming wildflowers in the Sierra. With this local yarn being hand-dyed by our sister company at Madelinetosh it is hard to go wrong with any color combination however we love that Aiyana picked our local hue Reno Casino to pair with Libra.
