As the year winds down and we look forward to all of the knitting and crochet to come, to get some inspiration on what to queue up (and spend our gift cards on) we decided to ask our Beans what projects they have lined up for the new year!

Now, without further ado, the Team Beans Must Makes of 2023!

Our Queen Bean has been loving squishing the strands of Blue Sky Fibers, so at the top of her queue next year is the 27 Color Snood! With a couple skeins of Woolstok and the 27 Color Woolstok Bundle, this cozy piece is about to become one of Laura's favorite knits!

Alex has been tempted with two projects... First up, Andrea Mowry's Pink Fizz Sweater using La Bien Aimee Cashmerino and Mohair Silk in the color Yellow Brick Road! Could you imagine a softer pullover?! She's also been daydreaming of cozying up with Rowan's Pure Wool Superwash Worsted to create the gorgeous Hibernate Throw!

This year, Julia picked up a hook and learned how to crochet, and she's pumped thinking about everything she could make! As a lover of all things bright and colorful, she thinks the Scheepjes Glowing Leaf Shawl is exactly what her wardrobe needs for spring! Julia has also thought about making our hearts flutter with her very own Butterfly/Papilllon Shawl designed by MarinJaKnits (if she decides to pick knitting back up in 2023, that is!).

One of Sam's favorite Just at Jimmy's Kits to put together this year was the stunning Frank Shawl Kit... so much so that she wants her own! She can't help but imagine herself knitting Joji Locatelli's shawl pattern in the Purple/Pink Madelinetosh colorway while sipping wine out of the included Starry Night stemless glasses.

Also new to crochet this year, when we asked our Bean, Amelia, what's next in her queue she immediately responded with the Scheepjes Macaroon Blossom Throw! She absolutely loves how the heathered hues of Scheepjes Stonewashed come together to make an absolutely breathtaking blanket!

Next year, our cute customer service team is going to be participating in our Blanket and Shawl Club and all of them have their hooks and needles in hand ready to go! Our yarn concierge, Arlene, knew she wanted to make the crochet Madelinetosh Blanket Club pattern in Katy's colorway when she first laid eyes on it! Dawn, our Queen of Customer Service, has been looking to explore fades and is excited to get to do it in the crochet La Bien Aimee Shawl Club pattern in Jimmy's Choice. As for our speed knitter and Email Enchantress, Allison, she already has gotten a start on our knit Madelinetosh Blanket Club pattern in Jen's Colorway and is obsessed with how the geometric shapes are coming together!

Dawn's Granny Square Ornaments

As a special gift to friends and family this holiday season, our Bean, Dawn, crocheted a bunch of granny square ornaments! She let everyone choose their own colors and then held them together on an H hook to create these adorable squares! We can't wait to see these proudly hanging on all her loved ones' trees!
