| The Cutest Holiday Hat + What's On Our Needles
Twas' the Night Before Christmas Makers cuddled up with their WIPs 'Eat, drink, and be merry' What a night for family and sips! It's official, folks... just one more sleep until the big day! We've got visions of you all cuddled around the fire with your family and friends, knitting and crocheting, and sharing lots of laughs - did we get it right?! We sure hope so!
Since this isn't a typical Friday, we figured it shouldn't be a typical newsletter either! So we're shakin' things up (literally!)! This morning, we went around and asked the Team Beans what they'd be working on tonight and as a bonus, we had them share with us what they'd be sipping on, too (because WIPing and sipping is one of our favorite activities!)!

"Christmas is really special to me because up until 20 years ago, I had never celebrated! I was raised Jewish so when I married my husband, we began blending our holidays and now we get the best of both worlds! Tonight we're attending a family party with our two boys and relatives coming from across the country - Illinois, Indiana, Oregon, and California! We'll be enjoying family traditions started by my husband's grandparents when they first came to the US from Colombia back in the 50's!
|
So, I won't get much knitting done tonight on my Kivitasku Vest (making mine in Camp Color Fingering), but I will tomorrow after we open gifts. I'll also be sipping on my favorite peppermint hot chocolate!"

"Christmas Eve is normally super frantic and hectic for me so this year, I'm bucking tradition and spending some much needed time with me (and my dogs, Suzy and Charli!). I'm knitting my Emalje Pullover in Woolfolk Stra, which I highly recommend everyone knit with at least once - the blend of merino and linen is complex and scrumptious!! Along with dog cuddles and a peppermintini, I'll be binge watching Christmas movies and having a few glasses of wine, too!"

"Every Christmas Eve, our family celebrates all together with a feast of traditional Mexican food and tonight will be no different! After we eat, we'll be taking the kids and grandkids outside to look up for Santa's sleigh. Unless it's really cloudy out, we usually spot Rudolph's nose! To warm back up after the festivities wind down, I'll be knitting away on my Dustland Hat by Stephen West using Tosh DK Onesies in Great Grey Owl Mill Ends and enjoying a hot cup of peach tea with sugar free vanilla syrup."

"Tonight, you'll find me and my family "light-seeing"... weather permitting! It always brings us so much joy to see how creative everyone in our community gets with their holiday decorations! It's a tradition we love doing each year. Once I'm back home, I'll be finishing up my Amigurumi Penguin Golf Club Cover by Linda Wright in Cascade 220 Superwash Merino while sipping a Sugar Free Cinnamon Dulce Latte with a shot of Cinnamon Schnapps. It is the holidays after all!"

"Greetings from chilly Illinois!! Tonight I'm surrounded by my husband's family, coming together from Nevada, California, Florida, Ohio & Oklahoma! We missed each other so much last year and are so happy to be spending time together once again!
I'm doing my best getting some work done on my Honey Hat in Madelinetosh High Twist - this Seance color has cast a spell on me and I just can't put it down! I'm pairing my nighttime knitting with some Twomey Pinot Noir and wishing you all a wonderful holiday!"

"I'm so excited to say that I'll be spending tonight with my family here in Reno! A bottle of sangria, a few holiday specials on TV, and my Love Note Sweater by Tin Can Knits are all on the agenda for the evening!
I'm sending everyone love this weekend - happy holidays!"

"Tonight is really, really special to me - I come from a large family and after two years apart, we are getting together here in Reno with family from across the country - California, Florida, & Oklahoma!
Besides holiday movies and Christmas baking, we'll be enjoying homemade eggnog (nutmeg and brandy included!) while I get some stitches in on my Philae Sweater by Lorien Knits"
|
As a final send off, we want to acknowledge that the holidays can garner a lot of emotions - whether this day is filled with joy or mixed feelings, we hope you know that we're thinking of you, we care about you, and we're sending you love.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
