| New Oh Snaps, Jimmy's Big Move, & Craftvent! We Like to Move It, Move It! | | |
Dearest Love,
Nothing compares to the cradle in which you hold my yarn. The way you tenderly hold my hooks with such soft, sweet consideration; the way you thread my yarn between your snaps, as if through the eye of a needle, with care and compassion. Oh, the marvelous things we create together - a world filled with luxurious delight! How my needles ache for your return. Please do not leave these hands wanting.
Always, Your Beloved Maker

Love letters are such an intimate look into people's hearts and there's something so tender and sweet about the language and thought that goes into them. That's why we created the della Q Love Letters Oh Snaps mini collection.
Available in indigo and violet, with shades of calligraphy ink in mind, this collection has knitting and crocheting terms splashed across the front - think of this as, well, a love letter to the fiber arts!!
|
The mesh della Q Oh Snaps easily allow you to see your project without having to go through the trouble of digging through multiple bags (especially if you are a multi-project-er like us!). Ideal for travel, cosmetics, spare change, and, of course, your latest WIP, the snap button openings prevent snags and even make colorwork easier by threading your yarn between the snaps. Available in two sets (S/M/L and XL/XXL), each set comes with a mini version of our della Q Dot Journal for keeping track of rows, pattern notes, etc!

They always say: If you love something, let it go. After years of walking the aisles of incredible yarns and chatting with customers in our retail store location, we're finally out seeking our next great adventure... A new building!
Didn't scare ya, did we?! That's right, JBW HQ is moving, starting November 3rd! We've found another location (still within the Reno area) that feels incredibly Jimmy Beans to us! With winding hallways, high ceilings, open office spaces, and a catwalk, the new building feels like it was almost made for us and we're SO excited to be moving in soon - we've got the pre-move jitters!
Though, with that being said, we gotta get down to business: What does this mean for you all?
|
|
For locals and those visiting, we will be in a new area that has more accessible food options at 891 Trademark Drive. That being said, starting October 30th, our retail shop will be down for a while as we focus on moving and setting up our new pad! We will be opening back up in December.
For those that order online, we recommend you start getting your orders placed ASAP so we can fill them before the move starts up. That way we can be sure everyone has their yarn to tide them over until shipments resume on Tuesday, November 9th, hehe!
|
All we ask is for some patience in the coming weeks. Once operations are in place, we will work hard to get all of your shipments out the door and on their way to you!

In Love with Pashmina!
When we think of love, we think of things that are fluffy, cozy, and maybe even a little sappy - something comfortable that we can rest in. Love often feels like a warm hug on a cold day, like something you can retreat to when things get rough. A safety sweater of sorts!
|
Did you know that you can make that safety sweater for realsies? Madelinetosh Pashmina is the perfect yarn if you want to feel like you're being hugged the entire time you wear it! Hand-dyed to perfection, Pashmina is a 3-ply, sport-weight yarn that effortlessly blends the worlds of soft, squishy, and sturdy - the 3 s's as we like to call 'em!
Each skein contains a blend of Merino wool, silk, and cashmere, which creates a fabric with a gorgeous drape and just enough luxurious sheen to catch some wandering stares!

Styling Craftvent!
We have a question for you guys - when you style your outfits in the morning (or the night before), do you put your heart into it? Do you put love and thought into what you wear and how the colors play with each other or are you one to just throw on whatever is clean and available?
|
|
Most of the time, we feel like that second option, but when we have enough energy to pull off the first one, we genuinely feel like we're on top of the world! We feel inspired when we get to work with colors, so we asked some of our Beans what they would wear with this year's Craftvent shawl, and they did NOT disappoint!
Modeling the crochet Tidings Wrap by Jane Crowfoot and the knit Festive Wrap by Ambah O'Brien, we found our Beans, Alexandra H, Wren, Julia, Amy, Dawn, and Alexandra F flaunting some of the styles that they would personally wear with their Craftvent Shawls.
|
From classic and traditional to casual and edgy, the Beans took to the runway to give some inspo for styling your next favorite project!

Marvelous Manos!
Did you know we love tiny things for a reason!? Some theories say we adore small, miniature objects because it triggers our parental love for babies and small children. Some other theories suggest that since we can identify all parts of small things, we can rule out the unknown, which makes them less threatening.
Whether you believe these theories or not, we can still agree that (most) small things are absolutely darling! This is why we love, love, love the Manos del Uruguay Fino Miniskein Sets!
Manos del Uruguay Fino Miniskein Sets contain five miniskeins of Manos del Uruguay Fino yarn, a blend of 70% extrafine Merino wool, and 30% silk. The glossy sheen and unparallelled softness are divine, and the fact that each 20-gram miniskein holds around 98 yards makes them the perfect, giftable yarn bundle! The best part? We've picked up four new colorways that may strike your fancy! We seriously can't get enough of the warm oranges and mauves of 22 Zelda to the granny smith apple green and clear blues of 21 Yvette.
Wanna see the other new shades? By clicking the drop down menu in the "colors" tab of the table beneath the description of the yarn and selecting "Latest First", the newest colors will show up at the top of the list!

And just like that, our 2021 Biggest Little Getaway has come to an end. We experienced such an incredible weekend with you guys from classes, to tours, to meals, and, of course, squishing all of the yummy yarn! From Thursday night through Sunday morning, we made memories through laughter, presentations from Jimmy, and fashion shows, and we're so, so happy it was a success - the memories we made will be cherished forever, and we can't wait to see your smiling faces again in the future!
|
|
|
Though, we would be lying if we didn't say we are a little sad - we miss you guys already! The downpour we experienced on Sunday set the mood for a melancholy parting of ways - it's like the universe knew!
Watching you guys board planes and pack luggage into cars was a difficult watch, but we can't dwell on the past - we will make new memories when our paths cross once more!
|
We also want to shout out our incredible instructors (Afifa Sayeed, Alexandra Frankel, Amy Gunderson, and Beth Whiteside) and stellar sponsors (Cascade and Urth Yarns) for making this retreat such an unforgettable time! The support and above and beyond ways of helping out inspired us, and we want to give you a great big THANK YOU! This year has really reminded us how much we love doing these events, and after the dry spell from last year, seeing your smiling faces made everything worth it!
Want to relive the weekend or take a peek into what fun we got up to for the first time? Head on over to our Instagram and check out our story highlight "Retreat".

Project On Our Needles!
Woolfolk Stige Pullover
It's that time of year again - time to delve into cozy knits! This simple pullover is able to be dressed up or down, perfect for nights out or evenings in! The most eye-catching detail of this sweater is the deep v-neck, which brings a modern touch to this traditional classic! Worked in one piece from cuff to cuff, the meditative stitch pattern of reverse stockinette is pleasing to the needles and great for multitasking!
Good news! The Stige Pullover is available as a kit on our site!
