If this pandemic has taught us anything, it's that we can't take anything for granted. It's been an incredibly tough year, and while we aren't quite in the clear yet, we're walking away with lessons learned and new views on life with how we perceive everything. We've vowed to stop being so uptight and strict with ourselves - it's okay to be a little goofy and silly, and dare we say... campy? Age doesn't bar us from having fun, so why not let our inner child out at times?
That's what the makers behind Camp Color strive to do, letting that inner child out to play with the sumptuous strings and pleasant hues this brand has to offer. It's just what the doctor ordered! From the masterminds behind Shibui Knits come the gorgeous colorways and squishy skeins of Camp Color CC Fingering! This fingering-weight yarn is perfect for all sorts of projects from shawls, to mittens, to socks. Made out of Superwash Merino wool, this yarn is machine washable, and oh, so soft! This launch shows off a few beautiful collections just bursting at the seams with colorful creativity!

High-Fidelity Collection: What's up, you cool cats? This vintage-inspired collection brings us back to the days where vinyl records reigned supreme and sepia filters ruled all of our photographs.
This collection packs a punch with shades that remind us of the good ol' days, just sitting back and listening to our favorite tunes. From reds to blues and yellows, these fibers are basically the perfect staples for your next favorite project!
|
Neutrals Duo: Okay, y'all, we know just how much you love black and ecru shades. They're always necessary for our projects and double as a smart thing to have stashed away for a rainy day.
The white/undyed yarn in this collection also works as a perfect base to try your own hand at dyeing - try using scrap flowers and vegetables, some commercial dye, or just forgo the color and go for something sophisticated and clean!

It's official! Spring has sprung! The dye kitchens over at Madelinetosh HQ have been feeling a little case of spring fever, dyeing up beautiful colorways inspired by the neverending blue sky, fields of wildflowers, and the fluffy clouds that lazily roll on by. This year's Mad May colorway feels extra special somehow.
We've gotta say, er, This is Just to Say that Tosh may have outdone themselves this year with something joyful and whimsical, giving us a little bit of a reprieve from the COVID-19 pandemic. It's hard to be anxious and upset when we have a new color and project on our needles, right?
|

Ooh Baby, Baby!
Finding a super-soft yarn is always a reason to celebrate - we can say goodbye to itchy fibers and scratchy fabrics when we find one that's buttery-smooth. That's why we're super excited to host the new Bloom at Rowan collection! In the second installation of this beautiful array of patterns that uses the supple fibers of Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino, we've found designs suitable for adults and children, rounding out our desire for MORE ROWAN.
Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino is the perfect blend of wool, acrylic, and cashmere, making an affordable yarn that looks and feels as soft as a baby's, well, you know! The subtle sheen pairs well with the array of vibrant and muted shades that are at our disposal, meaning any maker out there will be able to find that perfect hue! The addition of the cashmere makes for a gentle yarn that's great for babies and adults alike, creating a cozy fabric without the itch!

A Tabletop Page-Turner!
Lookin' for some good reads? We can't blame you! Reading various materials always seems to transport us to new worlds with simple words written on a page. Sometimes, when we're really lucky, those words will take us to a place that has new patterns and designs for us to sink our needles into - talk about a treasure trove!
With the Malabrigo Book Series, you get just that! With each book centering around a specific Malabrigo yarn, there are a plethora of beautiful patterns that keep our interest, letting the gorgeous hand-dyed works of Malabrigo yarns speak for themselves! From shawls to pullovers to hats and mitts, the possibilities don't stop, even after you've read it from cover to cover!
|
We may be biased, but we super-love Malabrigo yarns for their vivid hues and squishy bases! With Book 18: Rios and Washted, we learn that these two bases are interchangeable, with both of them being worsted weight and having around 200 yards to a skein.
Rios is a plied yarn, while Washted is a single-ply yarn, each bringing wonderful stitch definition and texture to the table. The worsted-weight nature of these yarns also makes them great for beginners and advanced knitters alike! We only have a few copies of this book left, so be sure to grab it while you can!

Project On Our Needles!
Amy's Minimal Pullover
Can we just take a moment to appreciate this beautiful pullover? Using a custom shade, lovingly named "Unbreakable", designed for the Jimmy Beans Wool Madelinetosh Sweater Club, our Bean, Amy Gunderson, got straight to work, knitting up this project in a blast! She took some liberties with the pattern, adjusting it to something better suited to her own tastes, such as opting for a crewneck instead of a folded turtleneck and making the side split much shorter. We think she did a terrific job with this one, making it a staple in her wardrobe for sure!
