Not what I expected
Though this issue is as good as all others of Vogue Knitting, I ordered it for a specific glove project shown in the Jimmy Beans newsletter but what I didn't know is that the knitter who had created the gloves had made some changes from the pattern. Also, the pattern wasn't actually part of the magazine, but within an ad in the magazine. Consequently I went through some confusion and frustration until someone in JB's customer service straightened me out. Which is why Jimmy Beans remains my favorite yarn shop!

Love the needles, love the tins!
After someone gave me these needles in the two largest sizes, I decided to fill out the rest of the set by buying all the others offered. This should tell you how great Blue Sky DPNs are! Yes, they're pricey, but they're well worth the money. In fact, the only problem I'm having with them is that nonknitting friends and family members keep trying to steal the tins!

Good Value
I'm extremely happy with these needles. They're just as nice to use as my pricier ebony, rosewood, and blonde sock needles, and the fact that you can tell the size of a needle via its color is a huge plus. My only criticism is that when they first arrived the needles smelled funny probably because the plastic case smelled horrible but with airing and use this smell is wearing off.

A Pleasure To Work With
This yarn is a pleasure to work with. In fact, it's one of my favorites, even though I'm sometimes surprised by the colors when the skeins arrive in the mail. Normally the website's photographs provide me with an excellent representation of what I'm going to end up with. Not so with Jitterbug. But while the colors might be unexpected, they're still nice, and I'm always happy with the socks they produce.

Nice Feel, Pretty Colors
I like the way these needles feel in my hands, and I like that I can tell what size I'm using just by looking at the color. In fact, the color-coding is such a plus that I just ordered a full set of Dreamz doublepointed sock needles, even though I already have all the same sizes in much more expensive rosewood and ebony doublepoints.
