Monika's Margaret Necklet

Monika received a very special skein of handspun fiber for Christmas from a knitting friend. She looked around for the perfect pattern to knit it in and found the 2008 Holiday Gifts issue from Interweave Knits. The Margaret Necklet is perfect for wearing under a coat on extra cold winter days and Monika says her special yarn is perfect next to skin! Although that issue of Interweave Knits is long out of print, the pattern PDF can be purchased directly from the Interweave Website. A worsted weight yarn is recommended so something like Malabrigo Worsted Merino or Tosh Merino would work perfectly. Monika used a US size 10 needle which is what she needed to use to get gauge, even though the pattern calls for a 10.5. Beautiful job Monika on this one of a kind cowl!
