Bethany's 'Some Cloudy Day' Legwarmers

It gets pretty cold in our warehouse in the winter sometimes so this year Bethany wanted to be prepared with some cute legwarmers to wear on those extra chilly days. Enter the free 'Some Cloudy Day' leg warmers pattern by Tiny Owl Knits! Bethany really wanted to use the new Malabrigo Mecha yarn but the gauge is much bigger than the pattern called for so she knew she would have to alter it a bit. Since the Mecha calls for a US size 11 needle and she knits at a really loose gauge, Bethany grabbed a US size 9 needle and cast on 40 sts. (If someone with an average gauge were to knit this in the Mecha, it would be best to stick with the US 11 that the yarn calls for.) Bethany found that 40 was enough sts to be able to follow the pattern easily and still get the size she needed. That was it! Easy peasy, and the result is this cute and cozy pair of legwarmers that she can wear all winter long!
