It all started on a trip to Peru. While touring fair trade mills, Jimmy watched as sheep 'tops' would get sorted and the remnants pile up. Every year mills end up with pounds of leftover, high-quality ends from the yarn they spin and dye. These otherwise luxe leftovers could get thrown away. In an effort to save them from landfills, and to close the gap between high-quality yarn & accessible pricing, rescued the wool and alpaca pieces, giving them a second life and creating Yarn Citizen.
