I saw this pattern on Ravelry and I love the simplicity and of course the texture! I used some yarn that was a gift to me several years ago - a Classic Elite Inca Alpaca. It is a dk weight yarn and we have plenty of dk yarn to choose from online - but in fact, for a shawl the gauge doesn't really matter - knit with something that makes you feel good. It is a simple pattern - comfort knitting - which is what I have needed recently. Many people on Ravelry are knitting it in Blue Sky Alpacas Suri Merino - luxurious and perfect for a project like this where you don't need more than 2 skeins! Lily says - I'll take it!
