Monika's Quick 'N Swirly
uses one skein of TML in Chrysoprase from the 2017 Semi-Precious Tosh Series. It's a fun shawlette to use up one (or more) of those pretty fingering skeins we all buy on impulse and then aren't sure what to do with - the design is more about showcasing the yarn than having overly complex patterning, and it looks good from both sides. The shawlette has a diagonal slant and a fun curve and to it, and you can keep going as long as you like!
Quick 'N Swirly is worked flat in rows. The patterns slant diagonally, and the whole piece has a curved shape because of the placement of the increases and decreases on the edges. The size is customizable - the green sample shown used one skein of fingering weight, but if you have more yarn, you can make a bigger shawl. This project is also great for stash-busting - you can use little bits of different colors for each segment!
