Chris' Night Shift Shawl

Description

As Chris started a new life in Chicago, he took a job working graveyard to support himself. His new gig was initially unappealing, until he found that he still had plenty of time to knit, even on the clock! As an ode to his new vampire-esque lifestyle, Chris designed NIGHT SHIFT. With two colors of sport or fingering weight yarn, this shawl uses stripes and a slipped stitch pattern, evoking the passing appearance of day and night contrasting between each half. Choose your two favorite colors and knit in the moonlight like Chris does.

We teamed up with Chris to re-create this shawl to celebrate the upcoming 4th of July using Swans Island Ikat Fingering Onesies in Stonewashed and Sunset. These kits immediately sold out, but you can still join in on the fun with our Madelinetosh Americana Shawl Kits which use two hanks of Tosh Merino Light in similar patriotic colors!
