I used the Stadium Sock as a template for the ribbing, but used the actual cast-on directions from a fingering weight pattern...
When Lorna's sent us the sample hank of the 2008 September color, i just knew i had to knit with it. But since they only sent 1 hank, i couldn't get an entire pair of socks out of it ... and now that i've learned the 2-at-a-time socks method, i'm all about knitting and finishing both socks! Solution? We picked a complimentary color in the Shepherd Sock to use for the heels and toes... and i shortened the cuff to about 4' instead of the usual 6'. Though Firefly and Douglas Fir were also candidates for the heels and toes, i settled on the Brick... and it looks great!
