From the designer: Using two skeins of Malabrigo Caprino you can knit this mid-season cowl in a few hours. This stitch can look more difficult than it really is. You will see that it is quite simple when you try it.
This is a three-stitch lace pattern and here at Malabrigo we have three bosses, so I thought this cowl should be named after them. I combined their names: Marcos, Antonio and Tobias and added an "a", which means "to" in Spanish: Amaranto. So this Cowl is for Marcos (Mar), Antonio (Ant) and Tobias (To).
Amaranto (Amaranth) is one of the oldest crops in America and, most likely, in the world, since there have been archaeological finds in tombs of the Andean region dated as far back as 4000 B.C. Mayans, Incas and Aztecs
used vast areas of their territories for its farming.
