From the Fall 2019 issue of Knit Simple: The "Diamond Hive" stitch creates a very puckered fabric when left ublocked, or a smoother but still 3-D field when blocked flatter. To create it, stitches are slipped with the yarn in front, making a float that is picked up a few rounds later, causing the fabric to tuck naturally.
