A dramatic feather-and-fan panel makes a pointed back hem in this unusual hooded cardigan. The hood, fronts, and back are worked from the top down, while sleeves are worked from the bottom up.

Finished Size: 15.5 (17.5, 19.5, 21.5, 23.5, 25.5)" back width. Cardigan shown measures 17.5".
Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows = 4" in St st.
Needles required but not included: Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight and 36" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions required but not included: Markers (m); removable m; stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Shown in: Fibra Natura Llamalini (40% royal llama, 35% silk bourette, 25% linen; 109 yd 100 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #112 Caspian, 8 (9, 10, 10, 11, 12) skeins. Yarn distributed by Universal Yarn. We don't carry this yarn, but think Kate Davies Ard-Thir would work well for this pattern.
